5 weeks of randomness...

We have been back in school for 5 weeks and it hit me last night that I am BACK in school. I was up until 2 am writing a paper, got to bed, realized I forgot to take my medicine climbed BACK down from the loftedness took the medicine climbed back up...forgot to press play on the DVD player....are you getting where I am going. This happens every night. RANDOM stuff. Forgetting to brush my teeth, forgetting to take a shower...YES it has happened...remembering I need to do laundry because I need clean pants to wear to Target...chasing down the dorm mom for quarters...then leaving the clothes in the basket for two days because you remembered you have a prayer journal to write, a Hebrew quiz to study for, and a scripture journal to submit all beforemidnight.

More randomness....

Um....the pink flamingo that sits on my desk....we call him "Murphy"

The FANCY picture I drew in my Youth Ministry class about what people think about me...:)

and.....of course....

the WARNING I received from the Lincoln Police Department for not having a "registration" light on my car. Can someone please tell me WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN.....why couldn't he have just said the light that shows your plates....NO he had to pull me over in FRONT of the school...when people are still coming and going....and able to see that it was me...to tell me I need a REGISTRATION LIGHT....that's dumb.....

Lessons from a Band-aid...

I am babysitting a seminary couple's four year old and eighteen month old daughters for four hours every every Wendesday, and today we had a rough morning. Addi the little one cried for atleast 15 mintues, and Elli the older one was trying to pick fights with her little sister all morning, however it came to me when Elli came and climbed on my lap and said "look at my boo boo, I need a band aid." What came to me was that kids have nothing to worry about other then boo boo's, and making sure there is a binky in sight.

I realized today that if we adults looked at life like "I need a band aid" maybe we would all be in better moods, and not have so much stress in our lives. I vowed this morning to take time to slow down, look at the little things, because life should be more then "I need a band aid."

...and we're back...

It has been a while...a LONG while, but I got busy, and have just now made time to sit and blog.

I made it home safe from South Dakota. I had a BLAST in South Dakota it was an experiance of a lifetime, and I am glad I took it. I will be honest I was ready to come home, I was ready to see my family, and I was ready to start school.

I have seen my family, and I have started school. I moved in to LCC not even 24 hours after I landed...it was more like 15ish...but I am here and going strong. Loving every second of it. I am also back at Target, which I was REALLY ready to get back there. I was missing my co workers, and missing the normal...if you can call it that.

For those that know my grandpa's kidney surgery went well. He gets to come home tomorrow!!! It was hard to see him in the recovery room, but I know he was getting good care, and will be better in the end:)

(Here is a picture of him last year at this time....:)
